Backstory: I was refused credentials to cover Clinton’s inauguration, along with the rest of the black press. We were told that we could get images from mainstream media. We later sued the Associated Press and a photographers association closely working with the wire service for denying us credentials. I was then on their radar as a “troublemaker” for my advocacy of giving the black press the same opportunities to cover events as mainstream media.
